TO DYE FOR-PART III

I think all of the dyeing workshop attendees would agree that Jackie was by far the most prolific-she must have a COLORFUL wardrobe that will last a lifetime! We really enjoyed seeing the creativity expressed by all of us.

All Agreed That We Must Continue Our Dyeing Workshops

TO DYE FOR-PART II

Each day of our open workshop, we began with demo's of techniques in both dyeing and surface design. Then we were free to play!

Arlene Preparing to Instruct Us
Our week of open studio dyeing from October 22-26 was a grand success! Arlene Richards and Suzanne Patton provided great instruction and guidance and we finished the week exhausted, creatively spent, and in possession of dyed, painted, stamped and altogether fabulous fabric.

NEW PROJECTS-NEW IDEAS

Suzanne trying to sell Carolyn a raffle ticket during the October meeting-WE MISSED YOU DEBRA!
Roxy knitting a vest for her father-beautiful yarn
Connie has been working on an idea for a project and  wanted to see if we would all be interested. I think everyone was excited
These two photos illustrate some of her vision
Kim brought a fiber piece that was created with her involvement
Would this type of project be interesting to the group?

There was  lots of  knitting and other handwork going on at the October meeting and even more discussions of  new projects. At this point though most of us are focused on our December FIBER FASCINATION show. Remember you have to be a member of the VAC by November 1 in order to participate.

Our October Meeting was filled with discussions and plans which promise an exciting 2012/ 2013 season!
The week of October 22-26 is the first workshop on our agenda. Suzanne and Arlene are planning a colorful time with the TO DYE FOR WORKSHOP.
