If you have read the recent VAC newsletter, then you already know that two Common Threads members have won awards in the Made By Hand exhibit, Roseline Young-1st Place and Kathryn Erickson-2nd Place. HOWEVER WE SWEPT ALL THE ADDITIONAL AWARDS AS WELL! Third Place was the only award a Common Threads member didn't win--there's always hope for next year. What a talented group of artists we are: 1st Merit-Shawl by Lois Porter,2nd Merit-Rug by Suzanne Patton, 3rd Merit -Necklace by Priscilla Michaud, HM-Fiber Hanging by Patricia Turner, HM-Fringed Jacket by Patt Bacon and HM-Necklace by Carolyn Hamilton. Since I was in Ky by the time the winners were announced these are all the photos I have. Send me pics if you would like them posted on the blog. Til next time!
